“Deconstruction” program for adults helps fill a gap in the workforce
WILX profiled founder Derrick Knox and the Opportunity Knox deconstruction program, which trains adults 18 and up in hands-on trade skills — carpentry, plumbing, electrical and more — through a four-week, 160-hour certified course. With most contractors struggling to find skilled workers, graduates step into roles employers have already lined up.
